Chicken and Rice

Leftover from Saturday’s lunch, home-made chicken and rice, with broccoli and a bit of cheese to melt on top, mandarin oranges, a cinnamon roll,  two Treasures ( they get around.. ) and a box of raisins.

We’re Having Ravioliiiiiiiiiiiii

Home-made ravioli in marinara sauce, mandarin oranges, a couple Treasures, raisins, and sunflower seeds. Yum.

Alfredo

Today’s half-empty bento has alfredo pasta left over from lunch, a packet of sunflower seeds, two slices of bread to eat with the pasta, a pumpkin muffin, raisins, and two Treasures candies.

Happy Aniversary, Bit Late

WoW’s fifth anniversary will land all of you with the promotional pet, the Onyxian Whelp. The promotion is over, now, but I got in on it the last day. Thank you gods, for payday. At any rate, a new patch was released yesterday. It introduced many things, including a Questhelper/Carbonite-esc mapping system to help when questing. It also made all my addons break. Yay patch day. Not to mention all the glitches… I went to do dailes out in Qual’ and it was over-run by the demons from the rift. Nice. Seems all the Netherwing dailies were alright, however. Although I looked for an hour in all the normal spawn spots and found no eggs. >>

Today’s bento has a fruit bar, a pumpkin muffin and two pumpkin tarts, stacked two high. Slices of American cheese, four Oreos, two Treasures, raisins, and the FINAL sweet-potato flavored rise chips.

Welcome to the Jungle

It must be winter…

Daifuku Cookie

S-chan’s bento includes a green tea daifuku cookie, several cubes of leftover white cheddar, two mini pumpkin tarts, raisins, a banana nut muffin, and the rest of the sweet-potato flavored rice chips.

Fa-lalalalalalalalalaLA

S-chan and I decorated the tree last night with my parents. You forget how many ornaments you have until you start unwrapping them all. Mom made coco and cider, along with cookies. She brought back peanut-butter and chocolate fudge from her recent trip to Gatlinburg, also. Tasty.

EDIT: Suprise bento. S-chan got called into work.

Surprise bento contains a stuffed shell left over from supper, two pieces of garlic bread, two Treasures, two Oreos, leftover sweet-potato flavored fries, raisins, eight little sausages ( the jerky kind ) layered with cubes of white cheddar on top, and a few small pieces of candied ginger.

The Car

S-chan and I spotted this when we were out running errands yesterday. And who did this little beauty belong to? … An older couple across the street in a KFC, wearing the largest mink coats ever made. Go figure.

Vegetable Stew

Some leftover soup from supper was the main part of this bento meal. On the side is half a banana, a small box of raisins, coconut gel cubes ( which taste a lot like a chewy candy ), a Treasure, leftover sweet-potato flavored rice chips, sun flower seeds, and cheese and crackers for the soup. A note for future reference: cutting a banana in half and putting it in the bento seemed to suck the life out of the crackers. Either that or they were already stale… o_o

The Yoshida bento was more than enough for S-chan. He ate everything and couldn’t fit in the muffin, so he ate it as a snack later. Take that, elf food…

Yoshida

Last night S-chan and I went out to a Japanese restaurant called Yoshida for his niece’s sixth birthday. It was really interesting, watching a chef prepare your food on a grill, right in front of your eyes. The chef we had was very entertaining, slicing and dicing the food and tossing stuff into the air and catching it easily. This bento is for S-chan, for work today. Included is left-over rice and veggies. I’d add the chicken but I ate it all. ALL. Delicious… On top of the rice in the small clear container is ‘white sauce’, which tastes a little like Miracle Whip, ketchup, mustard, and maybe some oil and vinegar, along with a few other spices mixed in. Very good. Divided by a bit of foil, there is a cup of mandarin oranges, a pumpkin muffin, two little boxes of organic raisins, two Treasure’s candies, a handful of coconut crackers, and a miniature pumpkin pie. S-chan always complains about bentos being elf food. Well, I showed him. It was packed in a very large Ziploc reusable container. Let’s see if he complains about it today.
